The indoor playground at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City is one of the largest indoor play areas in the United States. But a newly developed indoor play system, called Complex Play, is allowing children in a hospital to interact in ways that their regular play spaces could never offer.
Children’s Mercy Hospital has established a tradition of establishing a special space for children who are homebound. 토토사이트 A group of nurses in the maternity unit set up a play area for the mothers in their maternity ward. Nurses saw that children would greatly benefit from playing with each other, which helped them gain more confidence, grow physically and emotionally.
The facility now has a series of indoor play systems designed by the Kansas City, Missouri-based architecture firm of Zias Architects, who designed the Children’s Mercy Hospital facility. Their designs include a large indoor play area for children, designed with their Mission Series indoor play systems.
Children who visit the facility have the opportunity to choose from a variety of play areas designed for different skill levels, allowing children to learn and be challenged in new ways. Children who are new to the facility can be taken through a very simple introduction to the play systems and can quickly be enticed into playing the systems themselves.
Zias Architects uses different levels of technology when designing the indoor play systems for Complex Play. Children can create their own puzzles to solve by aligning different tiles, or they can engage in quick-draw games, where they draw pieces of the puzzle by touching them. They can even use their imagination to build structures out of blocks.
When Children’s Mercy Hospital Plays at Home opened its doors to children, patients were not allowed to interact with other patients. Even though this location was primarily meant to be a place where children spent quality time with their parents and their families, the hospital designeda large play area specifically for kids to interact. And now it continues to be so, as children feel closer to those around them because they’re playing together.
Children may be in hospital for many reasons, but they are still children. They are capable of having fun and they want to share their experiences with others. Zias Architects understands this, and this is why children are now able to interact with each other while staying safe and away from the elements.
With the different levels of technology incorporated into the design, playing a simple game of “pass the brick” becomes easier than ever. The architects have also worked hard to ensure that the play systems offer plenty of space for children to move about, while allowing a child to find his or her own space.
Children can move through the play area at their own pace. Since they can move freely, they can explore the different parts of the play space without being required to stop and go through a puzzle or wait for a child to complete their task. They also can move around freely and not feel threatened by the “off limits” area of the building.
Children like the chance to be alone, and they enjoy the feeling of being cared for by other children. Although many hospitals offer programs and activities specifically designed for children, they don’t always have the same privileges as children in the home. They don’t have the same place to call their own, they don’t know how they’re going to get to school functions, and they don’t have a favorite teacher.
Children at Children’s Mercy Hospital often feel like they are being monitored by an adult who is watching them all the time. Children at the hospital know they can’t talk or play around with other children. Children in hospitals can’t have a playground at their disposal.
Zias Architects has designed Complex Play to give children at Children’s Mercy Hospital the opportunity to enjoy each other, to feel safe and to learn skills at the same time. This doesn’t mean that the complex play systems can make a child feel special. It simply means that children can enjoy their own space, learn with other children and still have the opportunity to enjoy their own privacy.
